The individual is key

In large organizations and large projects people tend to look around and the immediate feeling is "perhaps what I do doesn’t really count." That impression could not be further from the truth. Without the effort of everyone included, no good results can be delivered and no real organization and project team exist. Every individual counts and we make sure they know it.

Ownership is key

There is a saying that goes "Tell me and I'll forget, show me and I'll remember, let me do it and it will be mine." There is not too much to add to better explain the importance of cultivating a feeling of project ownership feeling in the people involved. Project ownership is what brings determination and motivation and what ensures we deliver punctual and excellent quality work.

Quality of Work

This perhaps can be better stated as “doing it right the first time." As knowledge workers, we take the input (requirements/design/specification/etc.) from someone else, we apply our expertise to it, and we pass it on to another person. This cycle is repeated time after time and leaves “doing it right the first time" as the only option.

Last Resort Approach

It is the responsibility of every single individual involved in a project to perceive himself/herself as the last one in the production chain. Whatever the specific task, it is important that the person responsible ends up with a complete finished result. Leaving something not completely finalized means the next person will lose time and energy to go through the whole process again.

Quality of Work Life
